Our supporters

Romsey Male Voice Choir is extremely fortunate to have an active Support Group of members generously giving their time to help RMVC achieve its aims, as well as undertaking the front-of-house tasks at concerts.

What our supporters do is extremely important to the organisation and on-the-night running of concerts, adding to the professionalism and success of events. Most are partners of Choir members, but singers not on stage and retired singers also play their part when needed.

Support Group members, distinguished for audiences by their green sashes, meet in advance of each event to determine what has to be done and who will take what role.

Tasks include:

  • Welcoming audience members and sponsors
  • Selling programmes and CDs
  • Acting as helpers at Massed Choir Events
  • Organising and selling refreshments at concerts
  • Playing a part in organising social events

"We don’t take our Support Group members for granted. They do a fantastic job for RMVC and we know we can always rely upon them. All of us in the Choir are extremely grateful for their help. To see loved ones and familiar faces in the audience when we are performing is in itself a great support to the Choir ."

Geoff Skinner: RMVC Past Chairman
